I'm in a Cleaning Mood, Which Means I'm BORED...
The last couple of days have been really good. I have felt good, aside from a pesky headache today, and got a lot accomplished around the house. I have reorganized my pantry and cabinets and cleaned the refrigerator and freezer out! I've washed all the throw rugs, dusted everything, cleaned my room, vacuumed and washed all the clothes. The fact that I have been on a cleaning streak if proof that I am bored out of my mind, LOL! I hate to clean. I am, truth be told, a bit messy usually. Some things in life have shifted my perspective obviously. I feel the need to get things are organized as possible for the days when I simply cannot get out of bed. If this next chemo is like the last, I will be in bed for about 4 days. I will need your prayers during that time loved ones even more so. It is so easy to get discouraged when one day of misery just blends into the next. I'm hoping my new meds will help and if nothing else they just keep me asleep most of the time. I am already dreading it and hoping for it all at the same time. If my white blood cells have not rebounded enough they will put it off. Please pray that doesn't happen.
I got the most amazing, wonderful chemo survival gift bag today from my boss, supervisor and another coworker. They sent me a huge Scout bag (so cute!) full of everything I could possibly need over the next few months. I had tears in my eyes. It was just so thoughtful of them and I appreciate it so, so much!! I am one blessed girl to work with such amazing people.
I have been going a bit stir crazy not being able to leave the house. I will be glad to "get out of jail" for a bit on Friday since that is "wig day"! I'll be sure and post a photo so you can tell me what you think of it. I'm looking forward to it. She's gonna fit it and style it for me and make sure I am perfectly happy with it. I really love Sheila's! My daughter in law's mom, my dear friend, Ann is going with me for moral support.
My mom & dad bought us a freezer and it'll be here Friday too, so Alex is gonna come over and stay with me for a bit just in case the freezer is delivered before Scott gets home from playing golf, or while I'm gone to get my wig. That'll give us some extra space to put leftovers and things. My tiny refrigerator freezer is currently full of popsicles, sorbet & ice packs, LOL!
I got more cards in the mail today with sweet messages that made me teary-eyed. Thank you all so much for your encouraging words! They mean so much to us!!
