Let Me Tell You About This Man I Love...

Sometimes, you just have to stop and recognize the amazing people in your life, and today, I want to take a minute to tell you about my husband.

He is good to the core—fiercely loyal, endlessly kind, deeply loving, honest to a fault, effortlessly funny, incredibly driven, and insanely talented. Am I biased? Probably. But is it 100% true? Absolutely. And would anyone who really knows him agree? Without a doubt.

He never stops thinking about his calling—always creating, learning, and discovering. I have no idea how he does it! I’ve often wished I had even half of his relentless drive—and his level of patience. Most nights, you can find him in his home office, creating click tracks, soundtrack videos, and discovering new music to bring to his ministry.

We are opposites in many ways, yet so much alike in others—like most couples who balance each other out. I thrive on spontaneity, love changing things up, and admittedly have a quick temper. He, on the other hand, is calm, cool, and collected, always steady in the storm. I sleep late and often lack willpower when it comes to discipline, while he is an early riser, full of determination and self-control. But despite our differences, we complement each other perfectly. Given enough time to prepare, he’s always up for an adventure, and together, we find a rhythm that works just right for us.

He is one of the kindest, most generous, forgiving, and hardworking people I’ve ever met, and he’s completely dedicated to his calling as a worship pastor. His passion for ministry shines through in everything he does.

He is my perfect match, made just for me by God Himself, and together we were made for where we are right now—in this life, in this place, and in this moment. It's not always easy; sometimes, it's downright gut-wrenching. But knowing that God is for us, God is with us, God goes before us, and God will never leave us is all the hope we need to see us through till tomorrow. And that is a gift we never take for granted.

  1. I would say you are 100 percent correct. In the beginning I was not sure but I guess that is true of any father when he gives his little girl away. You complement each other very well.
